Born in Tupelo, Mississippi (yes, the same place as Elvis), and moving around a lot during childhood, I excelled in entertaining myself by creating fantastic imaginary scenarios and acting out all the parts. Though I hadn’t thought of performing as a career, I found I was particularly adept in classes like English literature, history, and public speaking. So naturally, this led me to graduate study in theatre performance. After graduation, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and worked for a variety of theatre companies, including the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Street Theatre Company, and People’s Branch Theatre. This built a strong foundation for me when I decided to concentrate on voice acting in 2014. Inspired by years of being a “enthusiast” for animation performance (fine, I love cartoons) and participating in radio plays on The Inexplicable Dumb Show, I set out to become a voice actor. From creating characters on podcasts to narrating audiobooks, I feel exhilarated when developing unique characterizations. It’s no wonder that clients like Observer Pictures, Grand Divisions Creative, and author Tyrolin Puxty have described my voice as warm, compelling, and rich with variety. At the end of the day, I’m the type of guy who loves to spread joy to others, whether by engaging them through storytelling or simply sharing a laugh. And I can’t imagine being any other way.
