George is a multi-hyphenate international voiceover artist with over two decades of experience, whose extensive work spans commercials, corporate narration, and video games, and includes notable projects for brands like McDonald’s and Nike, while also being a classically trained bass-baritone, founder of VO Evolution, and president of the World-Voices Organization. George Washington III is a multi-hyphenate international voice actor whose career is anchored in voiceover and shaped by more than two decades of performance experience. His work has been heard in the UK, Canada, Ireland, India, Australia, and South Africa across commercials, corporate narration, documentary narration, promo voiceover, e-learning, and live event announcing. His credits include projects for McDonald’s, Courtyard by Marriott, Nike, Gatorade, Amazon Prime, Mountain Dew ICE, ROOT Sports Northwest, Doritos, and Lowe’s Home Improvement; he is also the app voice for the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the voice of Green Lantern John Stewart in DC Universe Online. He has also appeared in the games Wasteland 3: The Cult of the Holy Detonation, Madden 20, Black Desert Online, Watcher of Realms, Starpoint Gemini: Warriors, and Knee Deep. He is the founder of VO Evolution and serves as president of the international nonprofit World-Voices Organization (WoVO), advocating for and supporting voice actors worldwide.
In addition to his work behind the mic, Washington is a classically trained bass-baritone and on-camera host. A B.A. in Music graduate of Northwestern University, he has spent 14 seasons with Opera Carolina as a member of the Opera Carolina Chorus, with featured appearances including the Imperial Commissioner (Madama Butterfly), Dr. Grenvil (La traviata), the Physician (Macbeth), King Balthazar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Jim (Porgy and Bess), the Messenger (Rigoletto), and the Father (Hänsel und Gretel). He has also appeared as a principal soloist in the Peoria Symphony Orchestra’s choral production of Porgy and Bess, and from 27–20 served as a fill-in on-camera traffic host for WJZY-TV.
